Faraway So Close is a group exhibition that explores the unique experiences faced by immigrant artists seeking to find balance between being in one place and from another, what it means to express the sincerity of your own upbringing while not becoming the exotic outsider.

This selected group of artists and thinkers continue to embrace their personal and social compromise from a profound perspective that, in one way or another, examines and comments the adopted place and time.

In this exhibition, each artwork becomes an intimate record of what they have seen, felt, or wished to preserve. Across a range of techniques and materials, these artists give form to the idea of the keepsake, translating fleeting emotion, familial tenderness, and sensory impression into objects that extend an invitation to remember.

This series, "Starflower", explores the image of floral forms and cosmic imagery. Flowers are often seen as cheerful and uplifting, and in this series, I paint them in their most simple and abstract form. Are they flowers? Are they stars? These ambiguous shapes that exist like dots coexist in space with various colors and geometric shapes. Throughout these pieces, I also wanted to bring the essence of nostalgia, the flowers representing individual memories that each person holds.
